A Little About Me
HELLO & WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE
Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my website, I hope you find some inspiration and can feel the joy I have for cooking, sharing food and creating recipes.

I have been passionate about ingredients, recipes, cooking and gathering people together with food for as long as I can remember. I get immense pleasure from creating food memories for family, friends, and the people I cook for.

Speaking of family … I’ve been married to Allan since I was 18 and he was 21, I consider myself to be very lucky, he hasn’t done too badly either!! We have three grown up children who we are hugely proud of, and four grandchildren who are a joy. We have hens, two pygmy goats and a lurcher called Mabel.
So many of our memories are linked to food. For me food is not just about sustenance, it’s about nourishment and about time and place and the people you are with. My Grandma Baker was a huge part of my cooking journey and all of my food memories are linked to her in some way; Yorkshire pudding as a starter with onion gravy, battered potato fritters, mandarin trifle with hundreds and thousands, homemade soft bread cakes dusted with flour, scones made in a plate sized round, scored into triangles served with a slice of butter and Old English salad for tea with tinned red salmon(cucumber, onion, mint, sugar and vinegar) and so much more. I’m sure you have lots of food memories of your own.
I have had the opportunity to cook in lots of great places and met some lovely people. I love that one day I can be catering someone’s special celebration and the next hosting a supper club, or leading a workshop, feeding people at our Open Kitchen at Yorkshire Food Studio or catering a full week or weekend corporate, foodie or yoga retreat. Mostly I love collaborating with those who love cooking as much as I do.

I hope to share regular updates, cookery book reviews, recipes, stories and a newsletter, so please do keep visiting.
If I can help with anything or you have any questions, please get in touch.

Happy cooking,

Love and cookbooks,
